Mavin studio boss, Don Jazzy has revealed the reason behind him not signing Davido, Wizkid and some other popular artists into his recording label.
Don Jazzy said he didn’t sign popular Afrobeat singer, Davido even when he had the opportunity because he figured out that Davido is going to do good for himself.
He went further to say that he regretted not signing Simi and Teni into his music recording label, although he likes both of them.
Don Jazzy was unable to sign Wizkid because, according to him, EME boss, Banky W got him first. As for Falz, Don Jazzy said he almost had a deal with him.
“I like Simi, I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I like Teni, but I didn’t sign her. I wish I did.I had the opportunity of signing Davido but I didn’t because I kind of figured that he would be fine.
“Wizkid, obviously, I couldn’t because Banky W got to him first. That would have been amazing.
“Falz, I love his work. We almost had a deal,” don Jazzy said.
