The student whose name is Abdulwaheed Waliu is a 400 level student of the Department of microbiology, Faculty of life science, university of Ilorin, UNILORIN, Kwara state, was arrested for beating his female lecturer.

According to report, the suspect also known as Captain Walz, was not aware of the compulsory Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and then went to the lecturer for help.

According to eyewitness, the suspected supervisor , name Mrs Zakaria, was said to have abused the student for coming to her office to seek for help because he did not do his SIWES .

The eyewitness said;

“He went to the her office to seek her help over his issue because he didn’t do the SIWES. He entered her office and started banging the table, the woman ab*sed him and he moved closer to the woman and started sl*pping her.

“She tried to escape and kept calling for help but people didn’t hear her. He dr*gged her outside and started p*unching her in-front of the department’s building. Passers by saw what was happening and he ran but was caught by the school’s security personnel. He has been handed over to the police while the lecturer became unconscious for a moment until she was revived.”
