Twitter threatens to sue Meta over new app, Threads

Twitter has reportedly threatened to sue Meta over the newly launched app, Threads.

Twitter alleged that Mark Zuckerberg has been employing former twitter workers which probably made Threads app to have some Twitter’s features. and the new introduced app seem like a potential alternative to twitter.

Meta introduced the new Instagram-connected Threads application on Wednesday.

Subsequently, the app is text-based and is meant as a companion product to the immensely successful Meta offering. Moreover, just hours after its release, Twitter’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, sent a letter to Mark Zuckerberg threatening legal action. 

According to information reaching us, twitter lawyer sent Mark Zuckerberg a letter accusing him of “systematic, willful, and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property.”

The claims made in the letter by semafor are connected to Mark Zuckerberg hiring former twitter workers. Responding, source told Semafor that none of the Threads app engineers were twitter former workers.

The Threads app appears to function similarly to twitter and also a good alternative for users who have gotten tired of the changes Twitter has undergone since Musk acquired it .
