“The funds will not reach the children.” Following Davido’s announcement that he will donate 250 million Naira to orphanages, Nigerians have shared their experiences with them.

Nigerians have expressed their doubts on Twitter that the orphans Davido hopes to help with his money will be impacted as he hopes.

 

Following the singer’s announcement that he would donate the over 200 million Naira he received from friends to orphanages, as well as an additional 50 million Naira, Nigerians concluded that the money would not reach the orphans in need.

 

The funds, they claimed, would be misappropriated by welfare officers and NGO employees.

 

Nigerians then shared their negative experiences with donating to non-governmental organizations. They accused NGO employees of diverting funds intended for underprivileged children for their own benefit.
