‘Sugar daddy will pay for her rent this year, but maybe not the following years,’ says OAP Moet Abebe, who shares some of the things single ladies hear while looking for a place to live in Lagos.

Moet Abebe, an OAP, took to Instagram to vent about the difficulties single women face when looking for a place to live in Lagos.

 

Moet wondered in her post what a lady’s marital status has to do with renting a house.

 

She also wondered if having a job and being a law-abiding citizen weren’t enough considerations when renting a house. She pointed out that even as a famous lady, it becomes more difficult because landlords make comments like the lady must be “promiscuous” and would be “throwing parties and orgies in their properties’. According to her, the ‘best’ she’s heard is that her “sugar daddy may pay her rent this year but may not pay for the following years.”
