Sanwo-Olu claims that the BRT car used to assault Bamise was constructed locally and does not have an embedded camera

The late Oluwabamishe Ayanwole boarded Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) before she was slain, according to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was locally sourced and did not have an integrated camera.

Bamise boarded bus after work on February 26 at the Chevron Bus-stop in Lekki on her way to her brother Pelumi’s residence.

During the voyage, the 22-year-old texted voice notes and videos to pals, claiming that the driver didn’t pick anybody up after her and that she was becoming skeptical of the travel.

That was the last time anyone saw her.

She was subsequently seen at Ebute Ero after being thrown off of moving bus, according to locals.
She died at the scene not long after.
Andrew Nice Omininikoron, the bus driver, was caught one week after her death and is now in police prison.
Sanwo-Olu told media on Tuesday, March 8, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan to observe International Women’s Day that investigations are still proceeding.
He said that the bus on which Bamise boarded did not have an in-built camera.
“Buses purchased from abroad for BRT operations included built-in cameras and trackers.”
However, those obtained locally to supplement the BRT fleet lacked cameras.
“The exact vehicle in which the dead victim traveled was one of the buses supplied locally,” Sanwo-spokesman, Olu’s Gboyega Akosile, said in statement.
