Samuel Kalu, a Super Eagles midfielder, has joined Watford from Bordeaux.

Samuel Kalu, a Super Eagles forward, has completed his transfer to Watford from Ligue 1 club FC Girondins de Bordeaux.

 

The Premier League club confirmed the arrangement on its website, which will last through June 2025.

 

He is the Hornets’ fourth January signing, following the arrivals of Hassane Kamara at fullback, Samir at central defender, and Edo Kayembe at midfield.

“The Hornets sign the 24-year-old after three and a half years in France’s top flight, where he scored nine goals.

 

“Kalu is a versatile option in a competitive squad, capable of playing on either flank but most often on the right.

 

“After migrating to Europe from Nigeria, the quick-footed attacker began his career with AS Tren?n in Slovakia, then secured a move to Belgian giants KAA Gent in 2017 after a string of good displays. In August 2018, he moved to Bordeaux, where he has made 86 appearances for Les Girondins.
