Ritualists murder a 22-year-old woman and leave her body behind her mother’s shop.

Shakirat, 22-year-old lady, was murdered by suspected ritualists in Oke-Oore, Iwo, Osun state.

 

The victim’s body was discovered thrown at the rear of her mother’s shop in Oke-Oore by the ritualists, according to resident of Oke-Oore who requested anonymity.

 

Shakirat had been missing since Wednesday, March 9, according to the source, leaving her family distraught.

 

“She was last seen Wednesday afternoon, and when she didn’t return in the evening, her family became concerned,” the person said.

 

“On Thursday morning, her body was discovered behind her mother’s shop. 
Later, some police officers arrived and took the body away. 
We later found out that they had taken her to the Iwo General Hospital morgue,” the source continued.
Yemisi Opalola, spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, confirmed the occurrence and said police had begun an investigation into the incident.
The command wanted an autopsy on the body, but “the family insisted on burial her,” according to Opalola. “We have released the corpse to the family.”
