After Nigerians accused him, Foluke Daramola, Harry B, and other Nollywood celebs of endorsing Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the presidency in 2023, Mr Ibu has reacted.
The Nollywood celebs can be seen shouting Tinubu’s praises at a conference table in a viral video.
After the video went viral, a number of Nigerians chastised them, prompting Mr Ibu to explain himself.
He said that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar had done so much for him, including providing him with a home. He went on to say that Atiku is his candidate as a result of this, and that he will not abandon him to support someone else.
He further said that when he was sick, the governor of Enugu state flew him to another country for treatment.
He described Atiku and the governor of Enugu State as father figures to him, and he said he couldn’t let them down by campaigning for Tinubu.
In the video that prompted the call out, he did not explain why he was singing Tinubu’s praise.
