It wasn’t a joke, either. We thought she’d passed away – It wasn’t a joke, either. We thought she’d passed away – DJ Following Michelle’s rescue, her sister opens up.

DJ Michelle Abesin’s sister has debunked rumors that the Nigerian disc jockey faked her death.

Last Thursday, Stella Abesin raised the alarm after her sister drowned on a Lagos beach while onlookers looked on.

“I can’t breathe because my sister didn’t deserve this. They were all standing there watching her drown. Where is my sister, God? What happened to her body?” she penned

The 21-year-old DJ, on the other hand, was discovered alive in the water 24 hours after she was presumed dead.

On Sunday, November 21, Stella took to Instagram to clarify that the incident was not a prank, despite social media rumors to the contrary, and that they believed Michelle had died.

“To be clear, this was not a joke. “We thought we had lost Michelle, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have her back,” she wrote.

“We implore the public to refrain from making crude jokes about something so serious, and Michelle does not have access to a phone or social media account.”

“Thank you for your prayers and support, our friends and families,” she added.

She also revealed that someone is impersonating her sister and requesting money from the general public.

Michelle, she claims, currently has no access to her phone or social media accounts.

“My heart is shattered. “For the love of God, let her recover,” she said.
