It is a taboo for a man to sleep in a woman’s house in Yorubaland – Ex-aide of former Governor Fayose

Lere Olayinka, a former aide to Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti state, has joined the online discussion started by rumors that actress Funke Akindele and her husband, JJC Skillz, are divorcing.

According to JJC Skillz, who made the announcement of their split, Funke asked him to leave her home because they couldn’t work out their marital problems.

Lere responded by stating that it is unheard of for a man to spend the night in a woman’s home in Yorubaland. He added that the body of a man must be removed through a window if he passes away inside a woman’s home.

Lere penned;

“In Yorubaland, it is a taboo for a man to sleep in a woman’s house. If a man dies in a woman’s house, the corpse must be moved out through the window.”
