In his post, the Nigerian gay rights activist described how he tested positive for HIV in 2004 and kept the news to himself until 2009, when he came out openly as an HIV patient.


He stated that he disclosed his sexual orientation after realizing that it is the stigma, shame, and discrimination that kill, not the virus.
