Airport workers  refused to release passengers’ luggage in protest of unpaid salary

The Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State was a hive of activity as airport workers protested unpaid salaries by seizing passengers’ luggage.

Passengers who saw the protest said the airport employees complained about not being paid for six months.

The passengers are seen in a video posted online standing around the baggage reclaim area at 7 a.m., asking for their luggage, but airport staff tells them to “step back.”

One passenger went on to say that anyone who films the incident will not be able to retrieve their belongings.
