After a disagreement with his wife, a man was discovered dead in a hotel room in Rivers.

ThankGod, a man from Eleparanwo in Rivers State’s Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, was discovered dead in a hotel room.

 

The man had booked into the hotel the night before after a squabble with his wife, according to reports.

 

A hotel employee who discovered his body told Punch that the man smashed a mirror in the room where he was staying, and that he believes the man used it to cut his throat.

 

After their guest’s time had gone and they had not heard from him, the hotel worker stated they became suspicious.

“We went around the back and pushed the air conditioner to see if someone could open the bolt from inside.” We shattered the door in the process. Everyone was there, even his family members. They entered the room and saw him. He shattered our mirror and may have cut his throat with it. In the bath, we noticed the mirror. “When they (his family) noticed what was going on, they started screaming,” the worker stated.

 

Nnamdi Omoni, a spokesman for the state police command, said he was aware of the occurrence but had not yet received confirmation from the area’s Divisional Police Officer.
