Following the heinous murder of a 200-level student at the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto on Thursday, May 12, a Twitter user shared heartbreaking stories about how some Nigerians were also killed by mob actions.
In a Twitter thread, the user described how a family friend was murdered in front of his children after being falsely accused of attempting to steal his own child.
The deceased, according to Barade, went to the mosque to pray with two of his children. One of the children began to cry at the mosque because he wanted his father to buy him candy. He claimed that when someone shouted that he was about to steal the children, he was mobbed and killed.
