On the one-year anniversary of being saved from being burned in a car accident, a Nigerian man rushed to Twitter to express his gratitude.
According to the Twitter user, he was supposed to fly from Jos to Lagos and arrived at the airport an hour before his departure, only to be told that the flight had been rescheduled and that they had flown off an hour sooner.
He made the decision to drive by road to Abuja, then fly from Abuja to Lagos.
His drive to Abuja concluded with their vehicle catching fire.
He described the minor inconveniences he had along the way that rescued him, the driver, and other passengers by allowing them to exit the vehicle before it exploded.
