According to the child’s extended family, a 4-year-old boy is the lone survivor of an automobile accident that killed both his parents and two siblings last week.
Julian Montano, four, suffered “severe injuries” after his parents’ vehicle was hit head-on “by a drunk motorist heading the wrong way” in California, the boy’s uncle, Anthony Gonzalez, said in an online fund-raiser on Saturday, November 20.
The accident happened just before 5 a.m. local time.
Gonzales told Sacramento television station KCRA, “Everybody is suffering from this.” “This is a huge setback. It’s too much to have four family members at the same time.”
According to the report, the second vehicle’s driver was taken to the hospital. It’s too early to say whether alcohol was a factor, but “that’s the assumption,” according to a California Highway Patrol official.
According to reports, the family was on their way to the Grand Canyon for a Thanksgiving feast when the accident occurred, according to Gonzalez’s GoFundMe page.
Julian, the small boy, is anticipated to make a full recovery, according to Gonzalez. Brittney and Tony, the boy’s mother and father, as well as their children Marianna and Antonio, were all killed “instantly,” he wrote.
“After this, we will never be the same, and our family is frantically trying to stay strong for Julian,” Gonzalez wrote.
“We need to bury four loved ones who were gone from us far too soon, so Julian can see his mother, father, and siblings.”
