158 Nigerians who had been trapped in Libya have returned home.

Another group of Nigerians who had been trapped in Libya has returned to Nigeria, where they have been welcomed by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

 

They left Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli at 5:47 p.m. and arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at 5:47 p.m., according to NEMA.
The returnees were met at the Cargo Wing of the Airport after being brought back to the country by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as part of a voluntary repatriation program for the distressed.

 

They will be held for seven days in order to isolate them and provide medical care.
